About AWAN Sacco

AWAN Sacco was formerly registered in the year 2011 with 37 members. Membership steadily grew to 144 by the year 2014. The number of committed members has steadily grown, and active membership recruitment is ongoing. Our first AGM was successfully held in 2012 and 2018, respectively. 2016 and 2017 saw improved earnings, where members were honoured with attractive dividends.

OUR VISION

At AWAN, we work to promote a culture where women are given financial possibilities in agribusiness.

Membership

Members are women entrepreneurs in agribusiness. One must complete a membership registration form to be registered as a member. On approval by the executive, a member pays a non-refundable fee of Kenya Shillings two thousand (2000/=) only and a share capital fee of Kenya Shillings three thousand (3000/=) only, which is transferrable among members. Each member pays a minimum monthly subscription of Kenya Shillings three thousand (3000/=) only.
